Ohh my god....I am a Senior! :o
So the new session has begun and I still can’t get over the feeling of being a ‘Senior’….just cant get over that word! I was a fresher last year, now we have a whole new crowd of first years…..time flies really fast. The third years we knew have passed out, and the second years who were our companions in not knowing everything on earth have now become the third years! I have a weird feeling whenever a first year comes and enquires about the way to the ‘Upper seminar room’ or the ‘Administrative office’ (we are so used to short forms aren’t we). The same feeling starts taking a hold of you when you sell your books to the freshers or when you tell someone a better route from there place to college. This feeling is difficult to explain…like you cannot explain what an orgasm feels like unless you’ve experienced it, similarly you cannot explain what it feels like once you are no longer a fresher. In the first year you are inquisitive, and full of energy and questions (though it’s the same for the second and third years in LSR), it’s a bit more in the freshers! Its like a baby learning about the world after its born, you want to know everything and understand it in your own way. So if any fresher chances to read this blog, use this fervour, this vigour to the fullest cause time flies away, you wouldn’t even realize and the first year would come to an end. Perhaps you would even be giving the same word of advice to the then freshers! Make most of your first year, you will love it!! :)

Tarang 2009 rocked !!
Tarang 2009 our college fest rocked like anything this time!! We enjoyed it a lot, the fest which was a three day event was especially entertaining and an exhilarating experience for all the LSR freshers like us! The fest span three days i.e. 13th to 15th November. The first day of the fest was the usual boring routine as all fests are, but it was great seeing your college in a new avatar, banners and decorations completely changed the look of our college!! On the second day of our fest, i.e. 14th the Saturday, there were a lot of interesting competitions like Indian music competition, Movie screening, Rangoli competition, street plays and Confessions of a tattoo. In the evening there was a mind-blowing performance by the famous band Advaita. The last day of the fest drew the maximum crowd as it was super packed with loads of interesting events like the Stage play competition, followed by Indian Music competition, Hindi poetry competition and Hive – splash of music. In the evening we had an awesome ending of the fest by the DJ night! For a fresher like me the experience was mind-blowing!!!

Miranda College cheats during Tarikh 2009

Off course we did not win, how could we when it had already been decided that anyone except LSR should win!! I knew people from Miranda had an inferiority complex from LSR people, but they would go to this extent I could never believe it unless I faced it myself. If you are a fresher like me and love participating in extra curricular activities then take my advice don’t ever go to Miranda for any competition as you will certainly loose it if they hold grudges against your college.

Freshers Party
witch or an alien. After coming home papa said that he would be making a headgear and goggles for me. The next day he made them up for me and they turned out to be wonderful (i'll upload the pics in a few days). Once I was wearing them people complimented me saying my getup looked cute!! Then we went to the common room where I introduced myself as Jadu's brother (character from an indian flick). On saying that my antennas are standing since i first saw my girlfriend everybody broke into splits of laughter. Then there were some fun games which more then the first years our seniors enjoyed, as the novels and the characters were not familiar to the fuchchas. Later in the evening we had some cultural programme which I could not watch till the end. I had to leave at 6:00 as I live in Nourt Delhi while my college Lady Shri Ram is in South Delhi, it takes 2 hours for me to travel (its damn tyring). So I reached my place at 8:00, told my parents how it was had dinner and slept......zzzzzzzzz.
